The wash outs along Burrowye Creek have deposited a large amount of sand at its junction with the Murray River. This means the kids will get a safe, warm splash over Christmas but it has us tearing our hair out. If we let the creek go where it wants to go, our camp site would become an island and the homestead would have to be relocated. We have planted trees, fenced out, done several lots of rock work and still no mitigation. We are nature and nature is us, and on we dance as best we know.
